A: Jefferson City Memorial Airport does not have any scheduled commercial airline service. Our City is considered part of the Columbia air service market, and as such, receives our scheduled airline service through the Columbia Regional Airport, (three-letter identifier COU).  The Columbia Regional Airport is located 25 miles north of Jefferson City via U.S. Highway 63.  The service available at Columbia Regional Airport is provided by Mesaba Airlines, d/b/a Delta Connection, offering nonstop service to Memphis with convenient connections to over 90 nonstop destinations.  There are three flights available Sunday through Friday, and two flights available on Saturday.  Reservations can be Delta Airlines reservation website at www.Delta.com, by calling their reservations office at 1-800-221-1212, by contacting a travel agency, or by using Internet travel sites.  Visit www.FlyMidMo.com for more information about commercial flights from Columbia Regional Airport.

Q: Do you have any flights to St. Louis or Kansas City?

A: The three-letter identifier for Jefferson City Memorial Airport is JEF. The four-letter ICAO Code is KJEF.  For Commercial Airline service use the Columbia Regional Airport three-letter identifier COU.

Q: Why doesn't the State Capital have scheduled airline service?

A: In 1978, the Department of Transportation designated all of Mid-Missouri as the Columbia/Jefferson City air service market and the Columbia Regional Airport as the market's primary service airport.  The FAA has recognized Columbia Regional Airport as the primary air carrier airport for the region since 1968.  Because of these two designations all commercial flights for this region are through the Columbia Regional Airport.
