The Friends of the Animal Shelter are having a Whiskers to Wags benefit on October 10th, 2009 at Memorial Park. Festivities will include a Pet Parade, Pet Contests: Best Dressed, Best Trick and Most Unique, Veterinarian Presentations, Raffle, Dog Demonstrations, Face Painting, Temporary Tattoos, Local Police and Fire Department information for Children, Food and product Vendor Booths, and much more.
It will be from 10 to 3pm. Bring your pet, but it must have a current rabies tags and be on a leash at all times. No dogs in any stage of heat are permitted. Pets must be under control during the event.
The Heart of Missouri Humane Socity will be hosting a "Howl-o-ween Party" on October 23rd, 2009 from 7pm until 11pm. It will be at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Jefferson City. $10 donation per person. Costume contest, music, raffle, and silent auction. Inquiries please call 636-7267
