Public Comment/Public Hearing
Amendments to CAMPO FY2010-2013 TIP


The Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO) Board of Directors invites public comment on the following amendments to the 2010-2013
Transportation Improvement Program (TIP), all proposed by the Missouri Department of Transportation:


(1)addition of a second Osage River Rail Bridge at Osage City;

(2)upgrade of an existing highway/rail crossing warning device at Osage City;

(3)resurfacing US 54 from Holts Summit to the Missouri River Bridge;

(4)resurfacing US 50 from Truman Blvd. to Business 50 in Jefferson City; and

(5)resurfacing US 54 from the Missouri River Bridge to Stadium Blvd. in Jefferson City.

The public comment period will conclude with a public hearing on December 16, 2009 at 12:15 p.m. in the Boone/Bancroft Room #200, John
G. Christy Municipal Building, 320 East McCarty Street, Jefferson City, Missouri. Copies of the proposed amendment are available for inspection at the Missouri River Regional Library; offices of the County Clerk in Cole and Callaway counties; and City Clerk offices in St. Martins, Holts Summit, the Town of Lake Mykee, and the City of Jefferson; and the CAMPO website at www.jeffcity.mo.org/cd/campo/campo.html. Public Participation

The CAMPO public participation and involvement process is designed to give the public ample opportunities for early and continuing participation in critical transportation projects, plans and decisions and to provide full access to key decisions. 

 

Public Participation Plan

The Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization encourages the involvement of interested groups and the general public during the development and modification of transportation plans.  All meetings of the CAMPO Technical Committee and Board of Directors are open to the public.  CAMPO’s newly revised Public Participation Plan outlines the public notice, comment procedures and the process used to support citizen participation during development of transportation plans.
