The Department of Parks and Recreation would like to invite all daycares/preschools to our fourth annual Candy Cane Hunt. We will have a candy cane trail at Shikles Recreation Center for the children to walk along, a chance to visit Santa and his helpers, decorate cookies, find candy canes and participate in a craft activity.

If your daycare/preschool group is interested in participating in this event, please contact Santa’s Helper (Angie Toebben) at 634‑6491 by Wednesday, November 19 to schedule your group. The Candy Cane Hunt will be held on Tuesday, December 9, Wednesday, December 10 and Thursday, December 11 starting at 9 a.m. with each group scheduled 15 minutes apart until 12 p.m. Or you may schedule a time on Tuesday or Wednesday afternoon between 1 – 2 p.m. Your daycare/preschool may participate in any of these hunts. Please let us know what day, how many children will be coming and the age of the children. Time slots are available first-come-first serve. |

Admission is a $1 donation per person, with all proceeds going to the Youth Sponsorship Fund. Donations received at the Candy Cane Hunt will be a source of funding for Parks and Recreation sponsorships, available to those who otherwise would not be able to afford to participate in organized recreation activities. |
