Dave Stelly Hitting Clinics will be returning to Jefferson City for the 3rd consecutive year to conduct a clinic in conjunction with the Jefferson City Parks and Recreation Dept. This clinic is designed for boys 8 through 14 years of age.

Mr. Stelly’s interesting and innovative techniques use a combination of skills learned under the tutelage of famed Tulane University Baseball Coach Joe Brockoff and then Dave adds his own insightful talents to create drills that enhance muscle memory designed ­specifically for the art of hitting a baseball. Mr. Stelly regularly teaches private lessons for baseball players ranging from second grade through college age and much of what he ­teaches will be used in this annual clinic. It has proven to be a great learning environment for those boys who are looking to take their hitting skills to the next level.

The Clinic will take place May 1 and 2 with group size limited to 20 boys per ­session for more individual instructions and will feature several new drills created just for this age group.

Saturday: 8:30 - 11:30, 12 - 3, 3:30 - 6:30

Sunday:11 - 2, 2:30 - 5:30

Dick Birmingham Sports and the Jefferson City Parks and Recreation Department are offering a four-day summer ­baseball camp June 21 - 24 at the Optimist Sports Complex in Ellis-Porter Park. This camp is open to boys and girls ages 6-12 and will be held daily from 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Players will need to bring their own glove and bat and a thermos of water. Player to coach ratio approximately 10-1.

Dick Birmingham Sports and the Jefferson City Parks and Recreation Department are offering a three-day summer advanced baseball camp June 21 - 23 at Vivion Field in Washington Park. This camp is open to baseball players ages: advanced 12 year olds and 13-14 year olds. It will be held daily from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m.

Players will need to bring their own glove and bat and a thermos of water. Player to coach ratio approximately 10-1.
