All plastic containers have an identification code stamped on the bottom. Different types of plastic are identified by the number inside the "chasing arrows". In Jefferson City, #1 and #2 type plastic bottles, clear or colored (except brown), can be recycled. Remove lids, rinse and flatten. Containers that held toxins (drain cleaner, automotive fluids, etc.) will not be accepted.
