Shawn and his wife, Angie, moved to Jefferson City in 1986 and have lived in the Second Ward since 1991. They have three sons: Cameron, Parker, & Griffin. Cameron (24) attends St. Louis College of Pharmacy,
Parker (19) attends Missouri State University, and Griffin (14) is in the 8th grade at Thomas Jefferson Middle School. Angie is a paralegal for a local law firm. Shawn enjoys date night with his wife, cheering on his boys in their activities, hanging out with family and friends, and an occasional round of golf. Shawn and his family are actively involved at Capital City Christian Church.
Shawn is the Vice President of a family-owned and operated commercial general contracting company specializing in commercial and industrial projects. Their company, Curtiss-Manes-Schulte, just celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2009. Some of the projects they have worked on that folks might be familiar with here in Jefferson City are: Lawson Elementary School, Jefferson City Fire Station 1 at the corner of Bolivar & High, Capital City Christian Church, Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Knowles YMCA Expansion, and the Miller Performing Arts Center.
Shawn believes that, whether at his business, or serving on City Council, to be successful is to be helpful, caring, and constructive, which will make everything and everyone he touchs a little better---the best thing he has to give is himself.
