The Jefferson City Fire Department was dispatched to 125 West Dunklin Street for a possible apartment fire. Engine One arrived on the scene and reported heavy smoke showing from the third floor of a dual occupancy building. The lower level of the building had two business and the remaining of the building had nine apartment units.
Firefighters from Engine One and Four attempt an interior attack on the fire by entering the third floor apartment. Firefighters were confronted by exterm heat and fire conditions and exited the building and assumed a defensive attack.

Total Response: Engine's One, Three, Four. Ladder's One and Three, Squad Two, Asst Chief's 1,2,3, Training Officer, PFEO, total personnel on the scene 25. Twenty two off duty personnel reported to City Fire Station to man reserve apparatus to respond to other incidents in the city. Missouri State Fire Marshal's investigator responded and determined the cause of electrical.
