Jefferson City Fire Department responded to a commercial structure fire on North Ten Mile Drive. While responding, companies reported heavy black smoke coming from the reported area. Upon arrival fire companies took a defensive attack protecting an exposure near the fire building. Ladder 3 operated an elevated master stream while other companies used hand lines to control the fire. It took firefighters 20 minutes to bring the fire under control.
A total of two engine companies, one squad, one ladder company, and one brush unit with a total of 17 fire department personnel were on the scene for three hours.
