The 2nd Annual Capital City Adventure Race (CCAR) is a 4-6 hour race featuring paddling, mountain biking, hiking/trekking and mystery events. While there is not a large focus on navigation, map reading and directions will be an important element. The course has been designed for beginners, but will provide an excellent challenge for experienced teams.
The course is approximately 25 miles long. Racers will be unsupported during the race. There will be water refill stations at many of the checkpoints. This year’s race will be a combination of urban and off-road racing.
CCAR will take place in the Jefferson City area. Exact details will be held until just before the start of the race.
CCAR will take place Saturday, April 24, 2010 at 8:00 a.m. with award ceremonies at 3:00 p.m. A celebration of the race will take place at 3:30 p.m.
By continuing an adventure race in Jefferson City, we hope to diversify community activities and foster an appreciation for biking. All proceeds from will go to Jefferson City Parks and Recreation to benefit the construction and maintenance of bike trails in the Jefferson City area.
Each 2 person team requires an entry fee of $150. If you do not have a partner but want to participate, contact us. We will pair up singles to make complete teams.
The 2nd Annual is open to two-person teams which will be broken down into co-ed, all male and all female, and awards will be given to 1st place team in each category.
