The Better Business Bureau has issued an alert to consumers about a scam targeting
bereaved families that have lost loved ones. A company called Exodus Collection Services
is sending Alliant Visa Card invoices to people that have had a recent death in the family.
The invoice is addressed to the deceased. Invoice amounts have ranged from $100 to more
than $700. This is a credit card invoice scam. If you receive such an invoice from Exodus
Collection Service please contact the Better Business Bureau. Also, if you receive any bills
or invoices from companies that are not familiar to you, please check out the company
before sending any money.
