The Community Action Team (CAT) is part of the Special Services Division,
supervised by a sergeant with four officers.
The officers utilize a "community policing" approach to address quality of life
issues which can often turn into criminal issues.
This unit targets specific problem areas that require attention over a period
of time and works closely with patrol officers and narcotics officers to gather street intelligence.
