Universal Trash and Single Stream Recycling Information
The City of Jefferson has adopted a new Solid Waste contract which began November 1, 2009. The new contract adds curbside single-stream recycling. This is a program that our citizens have been asking for and we are proud to make it possible. Every residence in the City will be required to have trash service. Each residence will receive two carts, one for trash and one for recycled materials. Both carts will be picked up once per week. Recycled materials do not need to be sorted.
